Bootjack Stompers Dance Club - Mariposa, California
We celebrated our 75th Anniversary Dance on May 4, 2024
The Bootjack Stompers Square Dance Club was founded May 28th, 1949 by the Ballards, Estels, Bonnells and Lou Chambers. Square Dancing was very popular and being promoted by some notables such as Henry Ford. Over the years, All Things American became very popular in other Countries and Square Dancing has become very popular all over the world. You can find Square Dance clubs in almost every country and Callers always call the dance in English. Our club also offers Round Dancing at most dances/party nights. Due to popular demand, the Bootjack Stompers began Line Dance, Round Dance, and Country Two Step workshops. The Bootjack Stompers rents the hall to other groups, such as Jazzercise. As you can imagine, a lot of laughter, music and dancing takes place at the Bootjack Stompers hall. Our wood floors, air cooling, seating for 125 people & certified well water make this a popular place to meet. Today, Square Dancing remains a popular activity for all ages. Families and Friends can enjoy an evening together, promoting a healthy activity and "un-plugged" from today's busy lifestyles.
